Modern Body Art is a modern, friendly and hygienic tattoo studio in Birmingham city centre, owned and run by Matt Hunt and Jo Harrison since 1999. We offer the following services: tattooing, piercing, laser tattoo removal/reduction, cosmetic tattooing (eyebrows, lipliner and eyeliner). We sell gift vouchers for all these things.

The tattoos are done by award winning Jo Harrison, Matt Hunt, Andy Cryztalz , Rachel McCarthy, Mark Gray, Amy Kinsell, Ricardo Pedro,  Len Nikijuluw and Glenn Patrick and we have two piercers, Rosie and Chris. We also regularly have guest artists visit (previous guests include Jeff Gogue, Derek Noble, Dennis Pase, Tim Kern, Jason Butcher, Beppe Shiro). We specialise in custom tattoos and we love to do cover up work. You can bring in your own images (like any studio of integrity, we won’t just copy someone else’s tattoo though) and have a unique tattoo drawn up for you.

We are an appointment based shop but can often fit in walk-ins. We find that most of our customers prefer to book in so as not to be disappointed.

Please note, children are not allowed in the shop due to the terms of our laser licence.

We are open Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm (closed bank holidays)
